The school day at All Saints Episcopal School begins everyday with a chapel service at 8:10 a.m. PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten students meet in the large gathering area of the 3rd-5th Grade building, Monday through Thursday, for a chapel service filled with stories and songs appropriate for their age group; On Friday, they meet in the sanctuary of St. Stephen's Church at 8:45 a.m.
Students in 1st through 8th grade attend chapel services daily in the sanctuary of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. The chapel program is under the direction of the clergy of our supporting parishes and the Head of School. Each Friday, our chapel talk is on the topic of our virtue of the month. The clergy from St. Mark's Episcopal Church are regular speakers as are other community leaders. Teachers are urged to make use of chapel lessons in classroom discussions or as the subject matter for classroom activities.
Middle School students at All Saints play a key leadership role in the daily chapel services. They are assigned the duty of assisting in the service by carrying the cross, flags, banners, and leading the psalm reading. Each class in grades 1 - 8 is expected to present a chapel program related to their class patron saint. Parents are invited to attend these special services.
There are regularly scheduled celebrations of Holy Communion/Eucharist. Students in 1st through 8th grade are welcome to receive the Sacrament if they have been baptized, are regular communicant members of their own church, and have parental consent. All students come forward to the altar rail to receive Holy Communion or a non-trinitarian blessing so that the worship experience is inclusive regardless of faith. Field Trip Uniform is required on the announced Holy Eucharist days. See the school calendar for the dates (HC).
All members of our All Saints family are always welcome to join us for chapel.
